Backups?

Hi, Now that we're betting everything on one horse, box2, it's maybe time to think about backups. Technically, I'm using rsync+powershift to backup my personal Hetzner box to another Hetzner box, and this works great. I can set it up for box2 as well, but we do need someone to donate backup space... Any takers? Regards, Cees

Hmm... lemmesee... I slept 5 hours in 2 nights and compensated that by drinking loads of beer.... maybe that's why I didn't read that 404 correctly - it came from Comanche so SqueakMap was running and accessible, I just forgot that the '/' url doesn't work. http://map1.squeakfoundation.org/sm gives the expected results here. (cc to box-admins - this service needs to be transferred!) What do you think of this? My understanding was that space was at a premium, and so we probably won't want to do this. Web team, Thanks for the great work! Perhaps the homepage, at this stage, could use a link to a feedback page. Maybe make the feedback page an RSS feed? Also make the link visually standout, just for now. Maybe just one Squeak desktop screenshot for the homepage too, even if it's a thumbnail.<hope> Cheers, Darius

I just checked my mailbox again and saw a message that my email announcement is in some holding pen awaiting moderator approval. Does anyone know why it would be there? new website

Box Admins, I have shut down the image running at port 7777. We are now running the new website at port 7778. I believe at this point we are ready to move the website to the default address of www.squeak.org. Could someone point that address at the image being served from port 7778 and then point the current (old) squeak.org to another port so that we can access it for more content (I guess this would just happen in the Apache configs)? I will let you know when the old site can disapper altogether.
