Good. I'm also cc'ing the box admins - anyone of us can help in the transfer. Shall we first announce it on squeak-dev? It probably means that we want to lock the swiki for a couple of hours while we are transferring it, might be polite to tell the community that beforehand. Marcus' SSH key in the root account

Just for the record: As I expect most of you are aware I've handed off the duties of managing the mailing lists to Marcus and I've been communicating with him to ensure he is able to manage this. In the past he has had an ssh key under the root account giving him root access to box2. He decided that he had misplaced the matching private key and he sent me a new public key. I deleted the old key and installed the new one in /root/.ssh/authorized_keys Ken

Hi, the SqueakSource at source.squeakfoundation.org is not responding... I should really look into how to fix that myself, I gues... I only have an ssh key entered for "sqfiles", I guess this is not the right account for restarting squeaksource? Marcus

Providing some FTP space for Exupery?

I was talking with Bryce Kampjes and he mentioned that he's had some trouble with hosting Exupery related files on his ISP. I offered him a few 10s of megs of hosting space on ftp.squeak.org and he said he would be interested. Of course I then mentioned that I should check with those who handle the site to be sure no one had a problem with it. So does anyone that runs the FTP area mind offering Bryce some space in the FTP site. We have more than enough space on the server at this time (we are only at about 17% of disk usage so far). Cees: We aren't so close to our bandwidth limit that a few hundred megs of downloads more per month are going to push us over it are we? If no one minds then the next question becomes how you would like to handle getting files from him to the site. I see him regularly on IRC so one option would be for me to handle this directly. However I don't want to step on anyone's toes, so let me know what you think. Ken

New account squeaknews

I've setup a new account on box2 called squeaknews for the use of Giovanni Corriga and the news team for the development of a Smallwiki system for news and the generation of the Weekly Squeak. In time this may merge with the www.squeak.org image and the website team, but for now development is going to occur seperately. Ken
