Hi Yanick,
I am posting your kind offer into the recently created UK Smalltalk list [1].
I am also trying to find an office / room for our meeting.
The date is not yet settled. Bryce, any news on this??
Next Tuesday (21Feb) we are going to meet each other at the XtC [2,3]
Cheers, Francisco

Hi,
I have asked in the office, and we most likely have an office. I say most likely: I can't reserve one, but if the event is during the weekend there will be no-one else in the office.
As for networking, I have a couple of hubs that we can use to network the computers together, but the corporate network (and the Internet) is off-limits.
Let me know if that would be acceptable; if so I would need to know the participants as I need to pre-register the visitors.
Thanks and regards,
Yanick

Hi Yanick,
Thanks for the offering. We estimate that we are going to be between 6
and
10 people. We are looking for a room with capacity for 15 people (and network connections).
Bryce will set a definite date now. I will keep you updated.
Cheers, Francisco

Hi,
I would be interested in attending a Smalltalk event in or around London. I don't have a location to suggest though. I can ask at work if we can have a meeting room (work is around Canary Wharf) for a day.
If you'd like me to ask, let me know how many people are interested so far and I'll ask. Either way, please keep me informed of developments.
Cheers,
Yanick

Hi,
Every tuesday a group of extremme programmers gathers together to have a chat (just a bit) and have some beers (mostly).
The meeting point is the Old Bank of England in London. http://www.xpdeveloper.net/xpdwiki/Wiki.jsp?page=XtC
Together with Bryce Kampjes we want to organize a CampSmalltalk, a SqueakNic or something like that. It would be in a month's time (begining of March) and we need to find some place to do it.
There is no agreement on the best location. Personally, I wouldn't like to make it on a pub; there is too much noise, little space and after a couple of pints everyone is talking nonsense.
Any suggestion for the location?
Who would be interested in coming?
Any preferred dates? (we have suggested a Saturday as the event would be a day long)
Cheers, Francisco

Thanks Yanick.
I am also trying to find an office / room for our meeting.
We're organising a Smalltalk day in Brussels on Saturday the 11th of March. Details below: http://prog.vub.ac.be:8080/SmalltalkParty/
Then there's Smalltalk Solutions from the 24th to the 26th of April.
I'd prefer either in April before Smalltalk solutions or some time after it. What suits other people?
Bryce
Hello all. Myself and possibly a couple of others from my office will hopefully be attending any meetings set up - and hopefully some of us will be there on Tuesday at XtC, too.
