Sorry for writing a question and answering it a minute later! Here is
the code for PluggableSVIShoutMapMorph>>preStyleText that gives fully
colorised text in the browser's editor:

preStyleText: t

	|aText|

	(Preferences syntaxHighlightingAsYouType not or: [t size > self
styleSizeLimit])
		ifTrue:[^t].
		
	styler
		ifNil: [ ^t ]
		ifNotNil:[styler
					classOrMetaClass: svi selectedClassOrMetaClass;
					format: (aText := styler styledTextFor: t asText).
				^aText].
