Hi Konrad,

Part of the answer depends on what you want to do with
them next.

If you just want hexagons one easy way is to start
with a StarMorph (using a 3.9 or later squeak).

Add handles.  Increase the number of points by one by
clicking the up arrow in the center.
Then use the left arrow to increase cycle thru the
skip stars until you get to the one that looks like a
hexagon. 

The outer handle allows you to turn and scale the
star.

StarMorph-wiz

With these repairs stars are freed to have any number
of points and any amount of pointedness.

Of course it might be fun to use Karl's method a few
times too. 

What works best depends on what you want to use if
for.
