Dear Squeakers,

welcome to the The WeeklySqueakSummary, an irregular traffic-dependent
report on what's going on in the world of Squeak based on the
WeeklySqueak blog.

Highlights of the past weeks:

Pretty much has been going on in terms of Seaside recently. Not only
is version 2.8 officially released [17] in conjunction with a download
that gives you a Seaside server out of the box [23], but there is also
an up-to-date tutorial on Seaside 2.8 that gives you an easy quick
start [12].

OLPC mass production has finally begun [20], and a major German news
TV show has finally discovered the project's existence [11]. The New
York Times has a very enthusiastic review of the XO [5].

Lively [6] is the result of Dan Ingalls' work at Sun - and it is
impressive: Morphic, implemented in JavaScript, running in your
browser. Check it out.
