[Newbies] Image hanging

Hello:

I have been having trouble with Squeak 3.10 image. I use this on my Vista
machine and XP SP3. On my Vista, I find the response too slow and many times
the image crashes. I have to force quit Squeak.

On XP SP3 I found that every time I click anything inside the browser
window, the CPU usage spurts to 99% and the image takes an eternity to come
back to life.

Is this an OS issue or an image issue?

Older versions do not seem to have these problems.
