Hi Kirk,
the Cog VM does not use multiple cores. If you want to use multiple 
cores with one VM, there is the Roar 
VM[https://github.com/smarr/RoarVM]. But I don't know whether that is 
stable, yet.
With the other VMs, you would have to use multiple vm-instances.
