Dan Ingalls and G?ran Krampe have the squeak.org account at Network Solutions,
and I am sure that they would both be happy to have someone else looking after
the bills.

But the first order of business is to actually get the DNS records activated.
I was expecting things to start working again after "a couple of hours" but from
where I sit, squeak.org is still dead. If it is still down tomorrow, I'll see if
I can get through to someone at Network Solutions again by phone. Supposedly, the
squeak.org names were to have been reactivated for 15 days on a courtesy basis,
but I'm worried now that this may not have happened.

I offered to pay the bill, but Network Solutions cannot accept the payment until
either Dan Ingalls or G?ran Krampe tells them that the request is legitimate.
I think they are worried about scammers (rightly so I'm sure).

G?ran has already replied, and he may be able to contact Network Solutions, or
to get in touch with Dan to do so. This should not be an issue, because we
have plenty of time to take care of it, so long as Network Solutions gives
us the 15 day grace period (as they said they would do earlier today in my
phone call).

My only worry right now is that the 15 day reactivition may not actually
have happened, or perhaps that there is something else that needs to be
done that I'm not aware of.

By the way, I'm no expert in this stuff, I just decided to call the 800 number
and work through the phone menus to see if I could find someone to help. The
person I finally reached (Deleen) was very friendly and helpful. I was trying
to explain what squeak.org is in an attempt to convince her that squeak.org
is legitimate, so I refered her to the squeakland.org site for reference. She
thought that was great, since she is a teacher herself. But she still could
not take my money until she got confirmation from G?ran or Dan.

Dave
