Thanks, Ken. I was aware of the issue, but wasn't able to log in from work.

Given that I'd just monkeyed with Jenkins' memory settings it seems
likely that my changes are behind the problems. What's a tad weird is
those switches ought to _reduce_ memory pressure from the JVM.

Let's leave it for the moment and see what happens...
