Hi Karl,
when you execute the lines below, do you also see those strange entries in the flaps?
Ricardo: Andreas just tried this on Windows 7. Downloaded this:
http://etoys.squeak.org/download/Etoys-Dev-4.1.2374.zip
and unzipped and ran it and executed the expression. No junk found in the flaps. Also, updating worked fine.
