Bert, I tried RC3 on x86_64 Fedora 16 yesterday. I got miscellaneous segfaults. Though I suspect library conflicts(*) I haven't been able to narrow anything down as ltrace aborts on 'call nesting too deep', and I am not sure where else to look. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
