[etoys-dev] Attempting to re-record sound, causes sound-output freeze

Works fine on other platforms so yes I'd expect it to be a Linux problem. You could experiment with a different sound module (OSS / ALSA / Pulse) and with the soundStopWhenDone and soundQuickStart preferences. I'm away from my XOs unfortunately so cannot test myself.
