I tried to test on a stock Linux by installing the attached setTitle-bf.1.cs projectTitle-bf.1.cs into my image. I do not have a VM with the VM change (my version is 3.10-3), so I did not observe the fix. I can say, however, that no negative effect has been observed. 

Not sure how to test on the XO - is there a window title?
