Stephen Thomas commented on SQ-560:
-----------------------------------

The issue with the "Step" button is that it executes the whole script one time. I am looking for something that would execute one "line/row" in the script at a time and highlight the executing step. The goal being to get the kids to think through and visually see what there script is doing.

Regarding scripting the scriptor, I was not able to find a way to change the ticks per second. I did highlight the "TickIndicator" but was not able to find a menu item for specifying the # of ticks/second

> I have often seen students running into a problem with a script they wrote. By simply walking them through the script step by step they see the problem by themselves.
> So the proposed feature would have one or two modes:
> 1) Single Step - where on each click of the mouse (or some other queue) the Script Tile that is being executed is highlighted and the script pauses at that step until the next click/queue
> 2) Single Step through a Script - Where there is a "slow motion" execution of the script with scripting tiles being highlited as they execute
> 3) Single Step though "Go - The equivalent of Single Step through Script except all scripts that would run when you click "Go" from "All Scripts are walked through
