Tim,  the problem is an extra single quote in a number of div tags. for example on the showcase everyone page:
            <div id='body7048' class='articleBody' '>
               A n-body simulation.
             </div>

I tested removing it and it fixes the problem in IE8

Let me know if I can help, what are you using to generate the html?
