As feared, people are thinking that saving to "My Squeakland" is a private thing, not a public thing.

There will be many who simply try it out, not expecting to have ballots sent out.

Initially, we intended to have a "make public" checkbox in the project info or save dialog, but we weren't able to get this done for Etoys 4.

The option really needs to be within Etoys itself.  Ultimately, we'll have a "Share" box, that combines project info and "save" (which is a misnomer anyway), similar to the one in Scratch.

We've got three solutions I can see to this problem:

1) change the wording of "My Squeakland" to indicate "and it'll go public" (at least for now)

2) add the "make public" checkbox to Etoys 4 anyway

3) keep everything private, requiring the user to click a "Make public" button on the website.


Option #3 is easy to do on the server, though it's a separate step.  I can make it clear in the "Thank you for your project" email, with a link in the email to make public.   Only at that time would ballots be sent out.
