Bert Freudenberg updated SQ-484:
--------------------------------

       Priority: Blocker (was: Normal)
Fix Version: etoys 4.0 and showcase - october 2009

If you disable the swapControlAndAltKeys preference, does Alt-C work again? It shouldn't, but please try.

I'd rather suspect ClipboardExtendedPlugin, which we do not have for Windows. If you disable (rename) it, does it work then?

> I started with a clean etoys-4.0-dev image, update 2192 according to "about this system". Copy and paste with alt-C and alt-V works fine.
> I then loaded all code updates, which gave me up to update 2325. Now alt-C does nothing, as these keys got mapped onto ctl-C, etc. But when I hit ctl-C, I get a hard lockup, i.e. alt-. does nothing. I have to kill the squeak process externally.
> The problem exhibits itself on Linux VM 3.10.3+svn1902.dfsg-1, which is what comes in Debian Lenny, and also the very latest 3.11.3.2135-linux_i386, which I just downloaded.
> Curiously, the problem doesn't show on Windows using Squeak VM 3.11.5 (beta).
