Since there are two different issues mentioned in this item, perhaps it would be good to split them out into two separate tickets:

(1)  Need protection against infinite regress.  User scripts which call themselves, directly or indirectly, can freeze the system.

(2)  Choice lists in the pop-ups for "script name" tiles are deficient; they often omit script names that are in use in the project.
