OLPC - using Etoys to play back audio clip created by Record Activity can confuse the user
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: SQ-721
URL: http://tracker.squeakland.org/browse/SQ-721
Project: squeakland
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: etoys-linux
Reporter: Mikus Grinbergs
Attachments: Audio.ogg, Etoysaud1.png, Etoysaud2.png, logs.SHC9370111D.2010-06-21.16-06-03.tar.bz2

Used Record-81 to create an audio clip. Went to Journal entry for that audo clip, used "Resume with Etoys" to launch Etoys to playback that clip. Etoys showed me a menu (Etoysaud1.png) with three entries: "sound file", "play in GStreamer player", "open". It is not clear to the user what will happen when he chooses.
When I chose "sound file", Etoys played back the recorded audio clip.
But when I chose "open" or "play in GStreamer player", Etoys told me (Etoysaud2.png) that it could not open the file associated with the OLPC Journal entry.
As a user, I do not understand why Etoys gives me three choices, with only one of them actually working.
Attached: System dump after Etoys activity was closed, after it had failed to open the clip when the "play in GStreamer player" option was chosen; Audio clip that Etoys was trying to play; Screenshot of choice given to user by Etoys, and result of choosing "play in GStreamer player".
