I hear your concerns.  Consider that if your goal is to help fix the society where demons are real using Etoys, then these societies will need to first use Etoys and become comfortable with Etoys.   If Etoys is dismissed on the basis of superstition, then we lose our chance at helping those areas free themselves of superstition.

Also, "You are my slave, ha ha" isn't just about superstition.  It's offensive to many of African ancestry, particularly in the Caribbean region (especially Haiti), with a long a brutal history of slavery.

Suggesting that a "demon" (which is actively feared) is making children "slaves" (which will long be a sore spot) has been confirmed by about a dozen people so far to be offensive and worrisome.
