In both Etoys 4 and Etoys 4.1 you can not append a set of characters to the end of another set of characters in a text object.  The text insert always inserts at the cursor. Yet there is no way to set the cursor to the end of the text. For example if you have the text "abc" the only possible cursor values are 1,2,3 and when you set the cursor to one it insert D the text becomes D123.  But if you set the cursor to 4 and insert D it becomes 12D3.  The only work around is to add an extra space at the end of the text.
