Karl Ramberg commented on SQ-1116:
----------------------------------

I looked at this issue and this change was added as a enhancement.

Looking like another player is kind of ambiguous when the player to look like is hiding.
Previous version was also inconsistent: if you used another player than a sketch to look like it would behave like it does now.

What you should do instead is to change graphics of the animated player.
Graphics is not dependent on the show and hide setting.

> When a sketch get's the message "Sketch hide", the viewer of "Sketch's graphic" turns empty as well. In particular the following doesn't work an more:
> - Create two sketches: Sketch1 and Sketch2.
> - Make Sketch2 hide.
> - Tell Sketch1 to look like Sketch2.
> -> As a result Sketch1 looks hidden as well and "Sketch1 show" doesn't change this.
> This was different with Etoys-4.*: There the viewer "Sketch's graphic" always shows the graphic of the Sketch - no matter whether the Sketch is hidden or not.
