In the same place I tried using a typical magma query to obtain a set of 
items and the timing was of the order of 150ms.

(self items where: [ :each | each title < 'Bear' ]) asOrderedCollection

Next time you see 'Bear' available in a sushi bar, watch out! Reminds me 
of the time when a friend of mine asked the waitress if they did 'diced 
yak' as a pizza topping!
