I spend less time at more sites, that's basically the deal. If I'd be
halfway interested in getting something you sell, I could watch your
site and twenty others for new dolls to arrive; without RSS, I'd need to
be seriously interested to watch a couple of dozen sites,
continuously...

It looks like RSS will take off next year, so I certainly would spend
some time on it.
