Same here.. i found out smalltalk about a year ago, and while Im still
fihing with it, the reason I can put it to some use is seaside.
Unfortunately a good number of web based projects require reuse of
preexisting components (which are in other languages/frameworks) to be
economically feasible.  Or libraries, such as OpenLDAP..
