I have had many problems with overrides in the past. And there are some 
limitations & warnings about publishing them. Perhaps the override was 
lost in the publish? I saw no override in the Seaside-WebToolKit bundle 
for WAPresenter | checkParent. I am running version 2.5.14.0.
