If that debuglog is correct then I'm not at all surprised things got all
squiffy. A socketID of 'a CompiledMethod' indeed!  And a startIndex of 'Delay'.
Hmm, this is running on an oldish 3.7 vm isn't it. There is a nasty off-by-one
stack bug in some releases that just might cause this. A pre-VMM3.7b6 generated
vm would certainly have the bug.
