You ma want to try with the parcel named "SeasideShortPath".
It is located in the Seaside/BonusPack folder and comes on the 
distribution CD.
Then you can go either to
    http://localhost:8008/counter
or
    http://localhost:8008/seaside/go/counter

This is VW specific.
