Oh yea, one more problem I recall (which maybe this is what you were 
thinking of) is that the "changed object notification" can be 
troublesome.  Each transaction gets a list of objects that other 
transactions have changed.  Re-reading those can take a while.  
Especially since each active session will (eventually) probably request 
them.  This might be worth fixing if it is causing anyone problems...
