Please lord no.

HTML templates become completely unmanageable past certain levels.
You end up with tons and tons and tons of include/partial templates
and before you know it, you are staring down at hundreds of templates.

What I would like to see, is the ability to take html and generate  
smalltalk code to generate
said html from it. Then I can have a designer do their thing and take  
it and process it.

That is the big issue I'm looking at right now. Our designers arent  
going to learn smalltalk.
Our programmers arent going to become designers. A bridge between the  
two is needed
and as the last few years have taught me, html templates arent the  
solution.
