[Seaside] renderer blocks

I usually to use:

html jQuery ajax script: [:s | s add: (aMethod: s)]

for my scripts, but in one specific case I need the original renderer ie.:

html jQuery ajax script: [:s | s add: (aMethod: html)]

I have to do it this way when returning (html javascript refresh). Why is that? Or is this another one of those children things?
