Hi Harji,

What I'm trying to determine is whether the line endings are 
disappearing when you write the data to the database, or if it's a 
rendering problem.

Rich's comment on <br /> tags will solve your problem if the data in 
your database actually contains line ends. You'd just need to replace 
the line end character/s with '<br />' and you'd be fine.

As a first step to debugging, maybe use FireFox + FireBug and make sure 
that the POST value for the textarea has the line endings. If it does, 
look in your database, and make sure that the line endings are indeed 
present in the data.

What error are you seeing now, by the way?
