[Seaside] RESTful sometimes?

i am charting out my app now, and realizing that in many respects
(like most web apps), this is a very content heavy idea.. while the
collection and presentation of data is the strongest point, there are
still many CMS-like characteristics..

one of the things i would like to do is be able to point users to
something like:

<domain>/map/<state>/<city>

where the app would be able to pull the state and the city from the
url and render the correct data, or flag if the set is empty..

looking closer, it seems the pier is REALLY well suited to this kind of thing..

so my question is..

are alot of people using pier just for this? a way to bundle RESTful
pages, authentication, and nice content management in one bundle?

thanks!
