Normally pages (or other objects) are added when the user clicks a
button, but that can also be triggered through other events. So I
guess the answer would be "yes".

Pier is not designed to lazily lookup and create pages, although that
could probably be added somehow. If you know all the possible pages
upfront, you can easily set a default text.
