<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">On my previous job, we developed a web
based competition for The History Channel. The followers of a tv
documentary that lasted for about 6 weeks could participate in weekly competitions.
The chosen competition style from marketing people was based on a
simple "how fast can you answer about something that was told on the
documentary". </font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">This show was played on all the countries
from Latin America, and hence we had then the worst scenario of a peak
of load during an hour and almost none during the rest of the week.</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">We set up in the top layer an Apache
to serve all static content and to perform the load balancing of all dynamic
content to the 3 Seaside images running behind it, the data model was rather
simple and we used Postgres to store it. </font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">All of this was running on a SINGLE
server and everything runed well during the competition, the Seaside images
responded and were very stable, they never crashed. We had thousands
of participants.</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">I hope this case of usage of Seaside
for a public corporate project helps you out.</font>
