Preference Browser->Browsing->eCompletionSmartCharacters

I found this function irritating too but I forced me to use it and now I 
really love it. You may want to try to get used to.

Preference Browser->DeveloperImage->BrowseWithPrettyPrint
Preference Browser->DeveloperImage->DiffsWithPrettyPrint
