Here at U.B.A , Leandro Caniglia has built a MetaClass named 
#AlgebraicAmbient which contains SubClasses like:
#Polynomial
#ModInteger
#Complex
#GaussInteger
#AlgebraicNumber
and the original Number tree.
......

This is a nice desing, and we use it usually to work in Linear Algebra.
