Yup. I'm doing very fine on my memory-challenged (16M) Mac right now.
4 M more in the image would make the machine swap, making Squeak
unusable. You're right that it would make newbies happier, but it hurts
others.

Is the current mechanism where Squeak yells into your face upon image
startup not enough?
