	- Attention All Smalltalkers, Attention All Smalltalkers -

The (Boston Area) Massachusetts Smalltalk Users Group is back!

Who: After a brief hiatus, we have re-organized under new management. A
bunch of former STUG members, and some new member-want-to-be's, have decided
to band together and discuss all things Smalltalk.

Why: Because Smalltalk is still happening, still great, and is still the
preferred OO technology out there!

And also...

	* It's a great way to learn about the latest happenings in the
ST/OOP community
	* It's a great way to network with other Smalltalk folks
	* It's a great place to get answers and to pose questions
	* It's a great place to discuss issues related to the Smalltalk
open source initiatives (Go Squeak! http://www.squeak.org)
	* And we've got FREE refreshments!

First Guest: We are delighted to announce that our first guest speaker will
be none other than Eric Clayberg! Eric is a respected member of the
Smalltalk community. He was a founder and Executive Vice President of
Objectshare Systems, Inc. and Vice President of Development for
ParcPlace-Digitalk, Inc. Eric is currently a Vice President of Product
Development of Instantiations' Smalltalk Systems Division. He is the
primary author and architect of over a dozen commercial Smalltalk add-on
products including the popular WindowBuilder Pro (TM) product line.

Eric will be presenting the new 5.0 release of VA Assist Pro (TM), his
company's productivity tool for Visual Age for Smalltalk. VA Assist Pro
(TM) adds hundreds of enhancements to the standard VisualAge environment
including dynamic spelling correction, color syntax highlighting, universal
drag drop, powerful ENVY management and enhanced GUI tools. Further
information on it is available at http://www.smalltalksystems.com/. Eric
will also give us his views on the current state of the Smalltalk world.

When:
Thursday August 5, 1999 and the first Thursday of each month after that...
6:15 PM - 7 Snacks, Organizational Kick Off, Get to know everyone else!
