Hi!
I released a very alpha snapshot of the new speech synthesis stuff. It is in

	http://members.xoom.com/gorilones/luciano/SpeechA0.zip

Along with the package I put a README file and the plugins compiled for Linux. If you don't have Linux, will need to recompile the plugins.

It includes LPC and residual LPC diphone concatenative synthesis. The voices
currently supported are
        Don (LPC, UK english, low quality, but small)
        Kevin (residual LPC, US english, good quality)
        Kurt (residual LPC, US english, high quality)
You will need to download the diphones from the festival distribution, in
	ftp://ftp.cstr.ed.ac.uk/pub/festival/1.3.1/
The files are:
        Don -> festvox_don.tar.gz
        Kevin -> festvox_kallpc16k.tar.gz
        Kurt -> festvox_kedlpc16k.tar.gz
There is an example with the begining of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". I think it's specially appropiate.

Enjoy!
Luciano.-
