I spent a bit a time with the ANSI standard last year (in its "beta" form), 
and with the published document (released in December, $175, :-(  ). As I 
recall (Allen Wirfs-Brock or others can correct me on this), there is little 
discussion of user interface (MVC, Morphic, or otherwise) in the ANSI 
standard.
