Hi Lex,

I haven't really followed this thread but you might find interesting a language called Hermes, developed at the IBM Watson research institute.

It is a "process oriented" language which uses ports (as capabilities) for communicate between processes.

The main man is a chap call Robert Strom. He has written a number of papers and a book on the language.

I've had a quick search but can't find any downloadable papers. You might try:

Aparently Jave has borrowed the typestate ideas of Hermes.
