I want to thank John McIntosh for all his help getting the Mac VM in shape.  This latest VM for 2.8 actually includes all the new event-handling stuff as well as internal plugins and the ability to run on 68Ks.  Andreas's image-level changes are ready for test, too, so I'll be pushing all of that out into 2.9a in the next day or so.  Anyone who wants to try this 2.8VM with their 2.9a is welcome.  All should be fine.
