Hello all:

I've been playing around with 2.9a on both Linux and Windows NT 4.0/Win98 and 
I've noticed some oddities.

Under Win98, the 2.9a VM seems extremely slow!  Much slower than 2.8 and 2.7, 
from what I can tell..I'm running Win98 on my old P133 laptop, but as I 
mentioned, 2.8 doesn't feel as sluggish.  I build my 2.9 image from the 
newly-released 2.8 ZIP package on the UIUC ftp site, doing the whole Etoy 
version switcheroo + update.

Finally, this is a joint Linux/Windows bug, probably not related to the VM:  
in my messing about with Celeste, I was testing out my changes in an MVC 
project opened from a Morphic project.  Whenever the list morphs redrew 
themselves the entire screen would get painted white, over-writing everything 
on-screen.  If I click around I can make Celeste re-appear, however.  This 
seems to happen on both Win98, NT and Linux.
