And even if not, it's very easy to come up with a similar repeating pattern 
on ourselves.

Definitely an improvement.  Although I like my Monet better ;-)  But 
honestly, adding this and similar images can already improve the first 
look. We should just make sure that it is automatically disabled on low 
color machines and perhaps you want to disable it for slower machines.  I'm 
not sure whether it makes a difference in painting it.
