David, did two Amazon descriptions get merged here?
Unless it's a second edition (and it doesn't sound like it), I think
that "Object-Oriented Programming" by Coad and Nicola might be just a
paperback version of a fairly old book. We used Coad & Nicola for
several years as a textbook. It uses VisualWorks for its examples.
I think it works as a chatty, friendly intro to the ideas, but it
doesn't work at all as a reference (which is why my students
complained about it) and it doesn't map well to Squeak (which is why
we ended up leaving it, and I started my book).
But you also have something below "Smalltalk by Jill Nicola" which
does sound like a new book.
