Try cd'ing to Smalltalk/Squeak rather than using the link to Squeak at the start
of the ftp site.  I think the link to Squeak at the top of the FTP site is incorrect
and therefore is interfering with your attempt to access the Squeak part of the
FTP site at st.cs.uiuc.edu .
