Andrew--

The attachment to your mail come through with filename 'Unknown' on both Mac
and Win worlds; this is most likely the fault of AOL's mailer, but that's the
beast I sleep with. I assume it has to be named correctly (and probably have
the resource fork established correctly) to be able to use it in Mac world.

I can put it in my Squeak folder, but how is it going to do anything?

I realize AOL is brain-dead when it comes to attachments, many files end up
with the Unknown name (particularly those from Unix environments (unprintable
characters seem cause it)). In the case of ChangeSets, I can always edit the
file to give it a name myself. In the case of binaries, I don't have a clue
how to retrieve the situation. Help!

I did have some large integer tests to run against the package (things with
results which have binary representations just under 32K bytes), so my
request is not quite an idle one.

As an example, Dan's new VM~2.8, named on UIUC archives as
'Squeak_VM_2.8-NOT.sea.bin', when pushed through StuffIt Expander (owhy),
produces 'Squeak_VM_2.8-NOT.sea'. Pushed through the same program again, it
produces 'Squeak_VM_2.8-NOT'. In spite of its weird name, it does work
correctly.

Thanks for any help,
Jerry.
