Ahh... one more test as a guess as to why you aren't getting it.

After starting my image, I created a normal morphic project (not
a "morphic world"), entered it, selected "previous project" (back
to the default MVC world), then did the above.  *no* walkback.

So something is being set by entering *some* Morphic project that
carries forward to eliminate this error with a Morphic World.
